Course Narrative
The Capstone is what one prepares for from the beginning of one’s studies at CSUMB. This pre-Capstone class provides the opportunity to begin exploring and narrowing ideas based on the classes already taken. In our Spanish degree, it could be in the field of literature or linguistics. One also begins to lightly research a prospected subject to then investigate via an annotated bibliography, learn the basics of citing and how to navigate the resources available to gather data.
A major part of this phase is taking notes to have available for the semester when one actually completes the Capstone project, which is an abundant amount of work. Moreover, because of the copious amount of research, organization is a key element. It will be challenging but look forward to learning more about researching, working with a partner and my classmates in the realization of this critical project.
