MLO 1 Language Proficiency
According to ACTFL Guidelines: students are able to communicate effectively in Spanish in three modes: interpersonal, interpretive, and presentational methods, and in a culturally appropriate manner in a variety of social and professional settings and circumstances at the Advanced Low level of language proficiency.
The following completed courses satisfied the MLO 1 requirement

SPAN 304: Introduction to Hispanic Literature
WLC 400 Major Capstone: final Language Proficiency demonstrated (Spring 2019)
Narrative
These classes helped me in the development of the language proficiency area as I practiced interpersonal, interpretative and presentation methods at each of these classes. We incorporated these elements when we worked individually to then work in groups to analyze readings or assignments integrating the speaking and writing of enhanced Spanish vocabulary, which all these classes required. Similarly, I learned to improve my reading, writing, listening and vocabulary skills as all these courses incorporated a peer presentation component.
